In charge of test preparation, testing and validation of CPE products, i.e. prepare and perform manual and automated system and network integration tests, report and verify problems on modem equipment and integrate the inter-working with in-house and external DSL equipment.

· Work on a wide range of the most recent Network Software Technologies, such as: xDSL, Routing, Internet access, VoIP, Video, TCP/IP, ATM, using advanced Software and Hardware (automation) tools and real time operating systems.

· Ensure the product meets the customer requirements in the dynamic and fast evolving Triple Play market.

· Cooperate in the engineering lab on a daily basis to program, test, debug and integrate the features on iterative software builds.

· Address regular ad hoc customer-driven testing requests.

· Participates in various technology plugtests as representative of the Thomson group.

Education and Skills:



· Master in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Informatics or Engineer IT/ Electronics, preferably option Telecommunication.

· One to three years of experience or equivalent in telecom, especially in Ethernet and TCP/IP related protocols.

· Fluent English in spoken, written



Preferable Skills/Experience:



· Background and / or experience Relevant experience in a subset of the following areas is an asset: ATM, PPPoE, PPPoA, CIP, IPoA, NAT/PAT, WLAN (802.11a/b/g), AAA, RADIUS, UPnP, VLAN, H323, SIP, MGCP, IPSec, SSL, SSH

· Has a good understanding of telecom networking environment

· Works independently and is objective oriented

· Is analytical and quality minded. Is able to develop a helicopter view of the systems under test

· A highly flexible team player with excellent organizational and communication skills
