Department
The Corporate Health, Safety and Environment department is part of the People and Culture Business Unit. We develop the corporate sustainability strategy, implement and coordinate
cross-organizational improvement projects and provide support within the Health, Safety and Environmental area to the Vestas organization.

Responsibilities and Tasks
This is a new position at the global corporate level with the purpose to establish a Center of excellence and to recommend strategic direction as well as global business unit level goals
and objectives in the area of Contractor HSE Management:
Develop and implement a strategic global HSE contractor management program (CMP), ensuring the Contractors adhere to Clients, contracts, Vestas and regulatory requirements and standards.
Ensure interpretation of complex requirements, evaluating and applying appropriate HSE principles, and formulating scopes of work, plans, and methodologies suitable for achieving and maintaining compliance with global HSE requirements.
Implement safety awareness in contractor program. Guides, coaches, and motivates global contractor performance and those directly associated with implementing the Contractor HSE management program
Provide leadership for the development and maintenance of high-performance HSE/Sustainability project teams. Promote integrity, technical competence, and commitment to HSE on multiple projects and across all of Vestas in the management of contractors
Support Business Units globally, requiring judgment and experience in the application of HSE plans, policies, procedures, methods and systems as well as the formulation of mitigation measures to reduce injuries and potential adverse environmental impacts.
Work with project and/or BU management on bid decisions, proposals, and estimates (scope, constraints, schedules, budgets) with contractor HSE requirements.
Provide technical support to feasibility studies, site assessment studies, and project risk assessments.
Manages and conducts contractor serious accident and/or fatality investigations and notifications; documents factors contributing to an incident and ensures the preparation of required reports and sharing of lessons learned.
Execute other HSE duties as assigned by Corporate HSE department.
